Extremely light and packable – the Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Nano Day Pack is the perfect travel companion and ideal for those quick bikepacking pit-stops at the supermarket or for the ultimate lightweight summit pack. This featherweight daypack can be easily stashed in your pocket or on your keyring, yet it offers 18L of carrying space. The asymmetrical zipper and siliconized Ultra-Sil Nano fabric makes for a compressible daypack that packs down to the size of an egg. Its construction gives it strength beyond its 1 oz / 30g weight, however, the non-padded shoulder straps keep our recommended maximum comfort load limit to 10 lbs / 4 Kg.

Ultralight fabric
Ultralight 15D high strength Ultra-Sil Nano™ nylon fabric provides the strength to carry heavy loads up to 20kg, while weighing just 30g and packing down to the size of a chicken egg. However, we recommend limiting the load to 4kg for your own comfort as the shoulder straps are not padded.

Which dry bag is right for me?
This depends a lot on what you intend to use the dry bag for. The Sea to Summit Big River Dry Bag is well suited as an all round versatile dry bag for particularly wet conditions, overland expeditions or when your adventure includes water/paddle sports. It will fit comfortably in our ROBO-KIWI harnesses, but is shorter, wider and heavier for its volume compared with ROBO-KIWI dry bags. For the best bikepacking-specific dry bag, we recommend using ROBO-KIWI double-ended dry bags as they have been specifically designed for fitting on bike handlebars.

Going to last?
With correct care, yes. Even in the urban environments that it was designed for, sharp objects or abrasive surfaces can damage the fabric, while stress can damage the ultralight zipper.
Waterproof?
No. It is only water-resistant. Even though the pack is made of a waterproof material, water can enter through the seams (which are not sealed) and the zipper. A few minutes of light rain would not be a problem, but a downpour would result in the contents of the pack getting wet.
What to put in it
The Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil™ Nano Day Pack is the perfect companion for multi day bikepacking adventures or races where you need to stop to resupply from time to time and make a quick dash through a supermarket or have the convenience of extra capacity for supplies. It also makes for the perfect summit pack on long multi-pitch climbs and can be clipped to your harness.
